Ever since we first heard about Marriott International’s plans to import the AC Hotels brand from Europe into the United States, we’ve been incredibly curious to see the finished product. And now we have–at the AC Hotel New Orleans. #hotelnerdalldayeveryday
Since we’re still in the midst of exploring the hotel, we’re only sharing a few photos today but we’ll have more to talk about, a lot more, on Friday and Monday. So far, we can absolutely say the hotel, which was kept very well under wraps during the construction process, is hitting all the right marks.

As faithful readers of HC already know, AC Hotels originated in Spain by designer Antonio Catal?n as an urban contemporary hotel collection. It’s Fashion Week in NYC but down in Houston, Texas there’s another fashion show of sorts taking place. The JW Marriott Houston Downtown, opening later this month, has just unveiled their new uniform collection for hotel associates (aka employees).
The seriously stylish collection was actually inspired by the 104-year-old Samuel F. Carter Building, which was Houston’s first skyscraper and which now houses the luxury hotel brand. A custom blouse print even features a photograph of the building taken in 1910.
